Went over to Loch Lomond today for a spring walk.Came across this well photographed tree, the problem was the water in the Loch was that low. Usually the roots are half covered and makes a good photo.Shot this with my Canon 5ds.
It's not a bad example of the shot. It is better earlier in the day and with the water higher. I prefer summer and autumn to spring/winter and my main issue with the image is the bare brown distant trees - it's just not a colour palate and look I like.
It's not tidal, the level is low for the time of year, come back probably in two weeks once the rain has topped it up again. The B&W is the more interesting of the two.
