Hi there

Been meaning to post these for a while. Am currently in the process of building a portfolio so feedback is welcome. One area I enjoy taking pictures of is architecture and buildings and hope to specialise in this area.

Hoping for a clear day to go, I planned a trip to the London Bridge area to capture some architectural shots - as there is so much available.

Coming off London Bridge station - the first sight was The Shard, hard not to notice it as it completely dominates the skyline. From here I just aimed for 1 Fenchurch Street (The Walkie Talkie building) and just snapped away. With the Gherkin building and Lloyds of London nearby I was spoilt for choice. A few other surprises were the narrow streets which gave me a good opportunity to capture features of buildings peeking through. A highlight for me was the Lloyds building - as there are many different features that can be captured such as the staircases and glass lifts, a fantastic piece of design.

Must say it was an enjoyable time to spend there as it was the first proper trip to London used to take photos away from the usual tourist traps (despite the bitter temperatures!)
I was quite surprised on how quiet the streets were for a weekday aswell.

I will definitely be making another trip in warmer times, with the hope to visit the Sky Garden at Fenchurch Street and to capture some black and white shots.

Some nice images there. I really don't feel I've done the Lloyds building justice - it has so many great features and angles. It's a shoot in itself!

Thank you, Lloyds really is. Im thinking about going back just to shoot that building itself.
