Beginner Long Exposure practice on the bug. (New shot added)

Not perfect by any means, but a practice at handheld long exposure. Posted in transport because of the subject matter.
25 second handheld.

Remarkable for its relative lack of motion blur, but still blurry. The question I'm inclined to ask is "why would you do this", other than because you could?

I was interested to see the results with just ambient light coming from the house. I wanted to see if the rain would show up because I would like to do some night shots when we go out to get photos when it's finished.

Rain needs incident light and an exposure long enough to allow the drops to move a little, but not too much.

you cannot do long exposure hand held you need a tripod for that so start saving

I have one, but it's cheap and I didn't feel like digging it out. I will be looking for a better one soon enough.

Had another go, probably should have used a remote shutter as there seems to be a little blur from my shutter press.

It seems you moved initially, probably when pressing the shutter button (look at the grilles below the headlights) before steadying.

Jason - Redcar seems an ideal place.

My mate is taking it to Bugjam this year, and entering it in the ratlook competition at santa pod.
He built it from the floor pan up out of a total wreck over the space of three years.
