Long exposure - sunrise at Banjo jetty, Swanage

One from last weeks TP trip to Dorset. Wasn't the greatest sky and sunrise, so decided on a long exposure to bring out the pastel colours and light on the jetty and cropped 16x7.

I prefer these soft colours to the more obvious stronger, more vivid colours that come with more clouds in the sky. There's certainly a concecus that clear skies aren't good for taking pictures somehow lacking "mood and drama" - I don't agree and this image is proof of that.

This is lovely, subtle tones, soft light, lovely colours and works well as a long eposure. Good composition, detail in the brickwork and lit from the right angles. The sky is nice with just enough interest.

I'd be getting that printed.
