Agree with Chris, was a flash used, looks like little or no flash imo but I`m happy to be wrong, comp wise it aint bad apart from that bit of grass to the left and lack of focus on the eyes.
Heres a similar shot of mine, diffused flash, F11, ISO 200, SS 1/160, I am in the South of France so its pretty bright here but I still had my ISO up to 200.
