Luminaris Woburnensis - an introduction to night photography

I went to Woburn Abbey this evening for a course in night photography. Local pro photographer Bridget Davey provided an excellent lecture on the settings and techniques required before taking us out into the gardens to try out our new found skills.
Well it was piddling down, freezing cold and the wind was howling through, but we had a good session and I hopefully got some good shots. Luckily my D800 has a weatherproof body as it got a good soaking and before each shot I had to wipe the rain of the lens and shoot before the spots got back on it.
Here's a few of the keepers form the session, which I was pleasantly surprised to have a good percentage of. Hope you enjoy these shots and feel free to critique as usual.

Thanks for looking :)

#1 for me - just missing a bride & groom which would have been pretty cool!!

I'm not so sure about the last photo as I think the left hand tree might have made a better subject on it's own but the others are interesting and colourful. Well worth getting wet for and I'm sure you'll be back another night.
