C & c welcome, Im trying hard but dont seem to be able to get it right

like the shot....like the angle.....like the idea....but unfortunately for me....the green in the middle is a little too strong:( thats just my opinion by the way)....love the folds of the petal though...:)
 
Not done macro yet but i like this a lot the cetre is sharp and that for me makes it love the bits of pollen flecked about
 
Pretty good effort but the blown area at the top left is distracting. Spoils it a bit but still a very good pic(y)
 
I agree with Brash, shame but it happens sometimes ;)

Thanks, can I ask what you mean by "blown area" is that where it is too white? over exposed or something? I really need to learn the terms used on here and in photography. What could I do to avoid that from happening in the future? All comments gratefully recieved, I'm eager to learn.
