Hi everyone,
I'm posting one of my favourite film shots from my recent trip to Marrakech (which I can't recommend enough as a holiday destination! Especially in late spring) and would love to hear some feedback and critique on it.
Thanks,
Rowan

Very powerful image Rowan…

My question is: "how much rubble is needed to
achieve your shot?" The way I see it, the man is
lost in there and not revealing enough about him.

I played with
different crop where the rubble is still
very present but the man far more significant.

Thanks Kodiak,

I've been humming and ha'ing about crops for a while, I like the rubble and how it creates a border around the man but there is a bit too much to take in in its present state. What do you think of this crop?

I prepared a suggestion that I can not post since your
edit says NO!

It would be, however, quite shorter for me to illustrate
than to write down all considerations.

I do think your original image is by far the more successful of the two. This is not a portrait of the man. He is simply a figure in a larger scene and the whole picture of which he is one significant detail tells a story more powerfully than any words could do.

I think the original shot is excellent and stands as it is no crop is needed.

Thanks for the feedback, after thinking about it for a bit I think I will stick with the original image.
