I picked up a new to me 85mm 1.8G yesterday and was just having a test in garden this morning when our puppy (now 16 weeks old) managed to sit long enough for me to fire off a couple of shots, I had not changed settings from last time I was out for wildlife so massively overexposed but really liked it so did an extra vignette to complete it.

I know it will not be to everyone’s taste but I really liked it (maybe I’m biased as its my puppy)

Not for me either - sorry.

Not for me.
That's too beautiful a dog to be in this style of image.

Hmmm! High key type portrait used with a dog?

I clicked "like" because it does have some appeal..........though taming(no pun intended;) ) it in post to reveal a bit more of the dogs features but keeping the high key exposure might improve it. I perceive that there would be some owners who having had Venture portraits of themselves and like the look could be customers for this "look".

Thanks again all for your comments it’s appeciated, I even took it further on my iPhone even more marmite but just something draws me to it although I too prefer standard shots

Even the dog looks sad with droopy eyes :(

The main thing is that you are happy with it, nice looking puppy too.
