Met a mate and his wife (also a mate!) up there this morning and enjoyed the 500s and a few other odds'n'sods. A few of the VSCC boys (and girls) were getting a bit of extra hill time in and a rather nice 1800 Escort sounded lovely and crisp - was quick too!
 
Hydrogen .......... why is that not the way forward. 100% clean ! Burning hydrogen produces only water vapour. Hydrogen can be obtained from water (electrolysis produces hydrogen and oxygen).

There is a higher explosion risk, but it will not be insurmountable.

It's energy density is currently abysmal and extremely high working pressures (700bar +) are required to achieve a similar energy density to current fuels
