Nice 'attitude', a Boxer with a stick that is more like a branch........ If he gets it home it will never fit through the door

However, it lacks one key thing! His eyes are not the key point of focus and IMO lets the image down. If you are that close in you need to watch your aperture, just what was it as I would think you need f8 and you will still have oof far background but the whole of his face should be sharp.

Hmmmm! going B&W to make a silk purse out of a sows ear.......perhaps with some subjects but IMO not a dog portrait where the primary elements are out of focus.
