I don’t know if this widely known yet but I just caught a bit of this on the radio and did a check and,yes..Steve Bray aka Mr. Megaphone outside Parliament every day is replacing Tim Walker the Lib Dem candidate in Canterbury ,who unilaterally stepped down to stop a split vote from which might stop the Labour candidate Rosie Duffield, who he admires greatly, winning the seat. This infuriated the leadership and they are considering disciplinary action against Tom Walker but in solidarity Guy Kiddey, the Lib Dem for High Peak , North Derbyshire has threatened to step down .

Rosie Dufffield only has a 187 majority over the Cons..25,572 to 25, 385. The Lib Dens polled only 4561. In September 2018 Rosie Duffield said that Labour was probably constitutionally anti-Semitic and wasn’t sure if they were fit to govern. This infuriated the local constituency party who said it was an incredibly reckless thing to say. Corbyn has refused to support here. She attended an anti-semitism march too. Be an interesting seat to keep an eye when the results are known Infact, by the end of today the candidates have to be declared.

I didn’t post in WCMUT...as it matters not to me..nor WAMT for the same reason. WBMT....well..Lol...Nothing surprises me during these political times. Bray certainly did annoy me (and most the nation, I think) with his ‘Stop Brexit Now’ call through a megaphone.

When did she attend an anti-semitism march?

When did she attend an anti-semitism march?

I’ve just done another check. There was one in March 2018 followed by another in September and it’s the September one she attended. The Guardian link..the last one. More a rally/demonstration than a march,as such. The articles make quite an interesting read too so worth reading them.

March 2018

Also March.....https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...-square-israel-palestine-jewish-a8274996.html

But these were all anti anti-semitism marches

But these were all anti anti-semitism marches

Anti..anti. ? Really ? Bear with me, I’ll have to check that because I read that the local constituency office was furious and as a result Corbyn wouldn’t support her ..This is the demonstration in September last year. It’s all been sorted now and she’ll stand. I’ll get back to you later.

On an ‘edit’ after posting. Ok..I see where you’re coming from. I said she attended an anti-semitism march(demo/rally) . You’re right. With hindsight I should have said ‘attended a rally/demonstration protesting against the anti-semetism within the Party.

Fair play to you (y)

Some crossed wires here? Bray is standing for the Lib Dems, but in Cynon Valley, a traditionally safe Labour seat where he presumably won't significantly split the pro-Remain vote. I think this was announced before you posted. The LDs are running another candidate against Rosie Duffield, however.

Thanks for clarifying that (y)
