I think you have to set "Save for Web" to strip the EXIF.
Another way to hide it would be to copy an image and paste it onto a blank new image in PS or similar. IIRC this will leave the image's EXIF blank.
There is a free tool called ExifTool which can do almost anything with the Exif data - however it is an extremely powerful tool using command line instructions and takes a bit of learning - but ALWAYS make a copy of any image if you decide to use it.
