Misty Morning

All very pleasing on the eye, with 2 & 3 particularly so.

All very nice shots but number 3 steals it for me that is beautiful, love the shadows, the rays of light and the clouds...lovely!

Great capture, Gary.

Something to have a think about to take it to the next level.

1) In PS, hit CTrl + Alt + 2 (Selects all the light pixels)
2) Select a new curves layer based on that selection
3) Change the blending mode to Multiply (Maybe try overlay too as an experiment)
4) Change the opacity to suit - Start around 10%

(If you use Liminosity masks, you may try intersecting the lights selection to get the even brighter pixels)

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Russell, I don't really use Photoshop, I do pretty much all my processing in Lightroom. It's something I really must start trying to use a bit more but I find all the menus and options all go over my head at the moment. I suppose if I never try to use it I'll never learn.

I'll take your tips onboard and have a try as a little lesson :)

Ha, thanks Carl.

It just goes to show landscapes don't have to be shot with a wide lens as 2 and 3 and I think 4 were shot with my Sigma 150-500mm.
