Playing around with lights at home, struggling to keep the image looking sharp when not zoomed in.

Not sure what you mean regarding sharpness but the image looks great to me.

I really like this. It seems such and "honest" picture.
The young lady has beautiful eyes. :)
 
I like the light and expression but have you worked the eyes too much in post?
 
Because, to me, it looks like they've been over processed in post.
 
To me it looks like they've been over sharpened, lightened or too much contrast added. They don't look natural.

Thanks :) This is my wee daughter who was rather fed up of daddy pictures at the time...

Yeah I was toying with leaving them but it's hard to get an image to pop without playing with the eyes

I have a softbox from an old static light so had that on a stand and a wireless flash on another stand poking inside. Then natural light from the window straight ahead. Bit of a budget DIY setup......
