Yes
Since I realized that all that was missing from my life was warm feet I have worn moccasins at home, but the ones I have only seem to last a few months before the inside gets all lumpy. I had a pair with hard soles which made 'tap tap' noises on any hard floor and were not comfy and my current pair have no plastic sole, just the leather but a soft sole might be nice.

So, wise folk of TP, what moccasin-type slippers would you recommend, or if not moccasins, what slippers (but that just sounds a bit too much like a grandad-like question..)

I've got a pair a soled moccasins bought from Costco years ago. They're a bit rough looking now but still really comfy (or I would have replaced them). They are just the Costco own brand "Kirkland". The inside fleece lining has flattened but hasn't gone lumpy.

My Dad likes M&S slippers but he wears them out in next to no time.

German supermarket slip on Deck Shoes or Boat Shoes, usually about a tenner, comfortable with canvas tops so your feet don't sweat, can go outside in them.

I have bought these in the past https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B009PNI5I2 but they stink of rubber when new and don't last.

My other half has a pair of these and swears by them - light and warm. Just not for outdoor wear though

ok taking the rubbish out in the dry, we have all wooden floors on ground floor of house so the make for a very nice walk arround slipp.
can't over doo how warm and light the mules are.

Decent proper sheepskin ones should last years, not months!

Buy full sheepskin not lined. :)

Something like these https://www.celticandco.com/sheepskin-slippers/mens-slippers/mens-slipper

I use these Karrimoor shoes. Meant for outdoor so you can walk outside in them as well. Last ages

Brilliant - many thanks !
The Mules look like they may be top of the list but I'll take a proper look shortly..

Not from M and S, my missus had/has some and they are less than durable.

Returned the last pair when the stitching went and they argued over a refund, apparently they cannot be worn outside. (nothing to do with why these fell apart)
Not like she goes to work in them, maybe hanging out the washing or putting stuff out in the bin.

In the end all they would do was replace them as a goodwill gesture, look elsewhere

What are the soles like Heather - soft and flexible or harder ?

Look on the harder side to me, but rubbery .... best ask the makers! :)

I am a big fan of sheepskin footwear having Raynauds. Better with no socks too!
