I'm sure this gets covered a lot, if there's a good thread, a pointer would be useful but I didn't find anything through the search.
I'm thinking of sending off a few images to get some prints done - all B&W - and I'm aware that my monitor isn't calibrated. This is made all the more obvious by the fact that I have two monitors and they're both very different when editing images.
However, given for now it's B&W's, I guess the key thing is contrast and brightness and getting those right. Does anyone have a favourite tool, technique, gadget for monitor calibration that includes contrast etc?
