I was attempting to capture the moon rise but sadly there was a thin layer of cloud right at the horizon obscuring it. I caught this photo. It is okay but not what I intended.

The colour and detail of the moon in the second and third are superb. However for me they could do with the moon being lower in the frame and perhaps some of that large expanse of blue underneath cropping off.

I totally agree with you but sadly I don't control the weather and to include water in the frame there has to be a lot of sky. It is not the photo I went out to take but this is what I believe to be the best out of a bad situation.
