Moth fly and mite

Both of these photos are far from perfect, however considering the size, particularly of the mite which I wasn't even sure was alive and not dirt until I photographed it, I think they are ok.

Well done finding and capturing those tiny subjects David.

1st one is a Drainfly I think, and its a nice shot, maybe if you pull down the blacks a touch it will show more depth (lightroom)
2nd one is a nice find but as its so small ill agree with that they are hard to photograph.

Interesting that you said this, someone else said that it was lacking contrast so I made this edit in darktable and I think it is better. I increased the black and the contrast brightness

Thank you, sadly I haven't seen any mites recently - although as my flash is coming to the end of its useful life that is not so bad.
