motorbikes old/new...open thread??

Gotta love pet names when it comes to bikes. ;)

The Bobber is called Zebedee (due to its reg. number) and now has a more exposed spring, Might see if I can find an old toy (or even make one) so I can stick the head on the front end of that spring!

Modern Serv-i-Car?

Sorry, there was supposed to be a smiley! AFAIK, H-D stopped making Serv-i-Cars in the '70s.

There are a few companies over here who make very "factory" looking trike kits as well as customs.

Hi, there are some trike specialists here, too. - Trikes combine the disadvantages of bike and car, I think.

But some people have good personal reasons for using them ...

MORGAN three-wheelers are different, of course. Everybody (with a heart) likes them .... ---

There are around 40,000 reasons not to have a new Morgan 3 wheeler!

I support a charity here in the UK who help disabled bikers - the NABD (National Association for Bikers with a Disability). They help people with advice on conversions for bikes and trikes as well as on how to navigate the problems that the DVLA throw at them.

Hi, I thought of disabled bikers when I mentioned good reasons for using trikes above ...

My liking of MORGANs is Platonic. I would not buy one.

IF I had unlimited funds and a huge garage, I'd have one but it would be one of the classics rather than the Harley S&S motored one. Wouldn't mind an old Rover powered +8 as well.

And, while we're stocking ultimate "toy" garages, I remember 2 trikes from the late '70s/early '80s - one had the rear end of a Ferrari 512 BB and the other was a Porsche Turbo, complete with whale-tail spoiler!

Hi, this goes for me, too ... (y) :)

Designed for them by Billy Connoly.

Thank you, Trevor, for showing your pics here ! :) ---

One should look in the rear mirror often, perhaps ... :

NO "blues and twos" so maybe the GS was behaving.

That's not camera shake or out of focus - Bullets just vibrate a bit!!!

Don't apologise! There are quite a few of the pre-unit (separate engine and gearbox) Bullets around here - they were all the company imported to the UK from India until the introduction of the EFi models in around 2008. Looking at that one though, I think it's one of the unit ones - not sure the older ones had disc brakes.
