Many of you will appreciate that photographing wildlife is never easy, nor is it predictable. But if one persists, sometimes, everything comes together.
On this particular evening, the barn owls decided to come out early. Not only that, both decided to pose together. While the pair of them were in the shade, the late afternoon sun painted the distant trees with a lovely warm glow. This contrast gave a nice separation between the foreground and the backdrop. This was the best that I have managed with them since the start of the project, several months ago. Hope you like it as much as I do.
This is full-frame at 500mm on D4s.
