Crumbs if she looks that bad on the outside it makes me wonder what has been allowed to deteriorate 'out of sight'

So did I, I was an Electrical Officer on tankers, which was "single handed", meaning you were the only electrically qualified officer on board. It was a long time ago now, but well remembered. Joining a ship that had problems, sorting them all out and leaving the ship in much better state than when I joined gave me a sense of satisfaction, which I have rarely felt since.

The Villa was built in Italy in 1985, so she is some 33 years of age, and although nominally still in service, I understand she has been alongside the dockyard where she is now for quite some time.
