Mushrooms

Nice composition, but the focus seems soft apart from the nearest parts.

Looks like the Common Puffball, Lycoperdon perlatum.

This is the first time I've tried a shot like this with my Fuji kit (the 23mmf2 lens I used is notoriously soft close up), I need to do some trials at home and see if it was an issue with my technique or just down to the kit.
 
Nice capture, composition works well in portrait. As above I think that the sharp focus is set on the leaf in front unfortunately?
 
Love mushrooms (as you may have been able to tell from my recent posts!).

I have used a small led torch for some of mine - shroomies are often in shade which gives a perfect opportunity to give them a glow. Sometimes subtle works but sometimes I like to go dreamy and make it look like the mushroom is a light source.
