Hi all
Our first granddaughter arrived late July and here are a few novice pics I’ve taken since then.

Can you tell us your camera setting on these, as they look a touch soft, may be the compression.

To me it looks like a bit of motion blur rather than being soft.
We could do with knowing the settings used, but at a guess I'd suggest you want a faster shutter speed, so either open up the aperture or crank the iso up a bit.

She is a cutie, certainly, congrats Robert

Firstly a massive apology to ShropshireLad and VirtualAdept.

Lew & Mads, I committed the cardinal sin of forums, namely posting some pics and then completely neglecting to go back to the post until a few days ago.

Have gone back to the originals and the settings are as follows. All were shot on Sony A6600 with Sony 18-105 lens.

Pics 1 & 2
18mm, F4, 1/30s, ISO 100

Pic 3
57mm, F4, 1/60s, ISO 100

Used eye AF on all 3 but agree they are soft.

BTW here is a more recent pic taken with the Sigma 30mm f1.4 ISO 200 and 1/50s - think its a bit better?
