What was the ISO?
They look very noisy, have you processed them with added grain (as a stylistic thing)?
Also if you have cropped heavily, the noise will have become more noticable.

All the way up to 25,600. It's the Oriental museum in Durham where the ambient light is very low and I had no tripod. I knew they were going to be noisy.
