My first attempt at star trails

Took this last night but my D5300 will only allow me to take 100 30 second exposures.Lots of light pollution as this was taken from my back garden in the centre of a town

Great practice for when you go somewhere really dark. Nice idea composing it with the trees as such and I don't mind the converging verticals here. Light pollution is a nuisance, but even considering that there is a purpler/magenta cast to the image.

If your limited by the camera then invest in one of these or similar from amazon

Not expensive and allows you to shoot more 30s images or have timed bulb mode exposures
