Great set, i option see them fly over the house, but dont even try to capture them. Well done you.
 
Those are tough. I sure have't gotten any yet. My targets here are the White-collared Swifts.

I've been trying to get shots like these since I first noticed swallows skimming the grass in our Cornish campsite 4 or 5 years ago.
Upgrading my D5100 to a D7200 and from a 55-200 to a 70-300 earlier this year has helped but it's still taken every opportunity this summer and hundreds of shots to get these.

Still gonna keep trying. I'd like to get some more, and improve. The last one of this set is the single only shot I've managed with that level of sharpness and detail. The problem as you all know, is they need to be close to capture detail and the closer they are, the faster they pass you. And it's difficult for both yourself to keep up and also the camera's autofocus to as well.

It's good shots of static swallows that I find impossible! :LOL:
