Not in anyway great shots but i've been been copying some negatives so i thought i'd show it..

It was my 1974 Sunbeam Rapier, had it for a couple of years around 1997. It had been Ziebarted from new
and there was tons of history with it. It belonged to one of the directors of the then Rootes group..

Number 2 is the only shot I feel that works due to the lack of background clutter. I would maybe have liked to see a little more space top and right of frame. Is it a joy to own and drive?

Gary.

I like 2 as a shot but all of them show of what was a a damn good looking car, they were pretty strong as well because a mate of mine rolled his and walked away from the crash

Blast from the past :D Thanks for posting these.
I learned to drive in a Hillman Hunter estate. I remember the handbrake on the RHS !!

I saw a Talbot Horizon on Thursday...first one in years.

I had a Talbot Horizon is tasteful mustard yellow with a brown vinyl roof,it will always have a place in my heart because its the car that took us on honeymoon

Thanks for the comments, it was a really nice drive..

Although the steering column controls were the opposite of the 'family' car we had at
the time, so consequently instead of indicating to turn i flicked the overdrive in or out...
