My Street Journey - The Good, The Bad & The Recycle Bin

I bought this wonderful book of street photography and it was delivered at the weekend. It's from French photographer Jerome Lorieau who was based in Bristol for a while - the book is called from England with Love - there's lot of Bristol and WSM in the book and it's very relatable when compared to the usual NYC/London centric photobooks. So, thought I'd recommend it, it's worth checking out and recommending it to you as well @gramps

I've already bought a book this month - Joe Howard, Kyanos

I might look into that one next though :) Thanks :)

In the diary Lee, Saturday looks dry but Sunday could get wet :(

Yeah, that's what it said the other day too. Saturday is also car meet day at The BlueBowl but I don't fancy parking the Escort on the grass this weather & getting back off it again :ROFLMAO: So, harbourside it is hopefully.

You've certainly made a great start Lee. My fave so far is the one outside the cafe with the bloke & pigeon :)

A few from Bristol - not exactly recently!

I'm pretty sure this was Harbour Festival Weekend.......

Love the mother-daughter interaction in #2 ... clearly not a meeting of minds!

Rod Stewart looks rough in #2 :)
Must have been a while ago with the sun shining Lee.

Nice set again Lee, love the red & white background and great to see a bit of sunshine!

EDIT - I don't know what's up with all the RED 'X' links. I've even linked them a smaller image size this time around.

Managed to get a day ay Weymouth back in the late summer. Wasn't as good as I was hoping it to be tbh.....

That was my thought George but don't know what it would be.

I've tried posting a pic' from both of my iPad Pros and also my MacBook Pro but exactly the same thing happens.

It probably is. I'm getting the same problem on the Focus on Photography forum with the same photos.

I did manage to get a pic' posted first thing this morning using what I think might be a workaround.

On a Saturday*, they have an antiques market just up from the Double Tree Hotel, which is just up from Pulteney Weir - it's up that way :)

* I'm not sure it's every Saturday, but it's been on every Saturday I've walked that way.

Nice themed set Lee, 1st place in the generosity stakes goes to the guy in #2. :)

Roger, I caught sight of him before this with the flowers. He turned and went into a nice upmarket suit shop just down the road. I circled around for a while, seen him come out, I rushed up the road to get ahead of him and as I turned to walk towards him and get closer, he then turned and went into a coffee shop - which is when I quickly grabbed this shot :ROFLMAO:

Not perfect, but certainly 10/10 for effort :ROFLMAO:

I have fond memories of Saturday mornings in Bath, especially when there were five photography shops there! :naughty:
