The shots document it well, not nice to see but that's nature for you :)
 
Looks like a Canada Goose - they are an aggressive, rapid breeding non-native species and should be strongly discouraged in every way possible.
At present we have some places practically encouraging uncontrolled breeding then they head off causing mayhem for miles around.

It's a native Greylag Goose :)
 
Well documented set Mike.

We watched a Herring Gull 'steal' a Kittywake Chick, kill it and eat it whole, at Bempton the other month. Was sad to watch it put up so much much of a fight, the outcome was inevitable, but that's nature.
