  3. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a long-standing member, Just Dave.

    Dave Barker was a member of Talk Photography for nearly 10 years, and was a prominent member for most of those.
    A very warm, friendly and enthusiastic member, he spent the largest portion of his time on TP welcoming and helping others.

    I'm sure all visitors to this site will join us in thanking Dave for his unwavering support and being a large part of our community.
    Our thoughts are with his family and friends at such a difficult time.

    My next door neighbor has noticed me out in the garden and hedges, and invited me to have a root around in his garden to see what i could find, the red backed things, i have no idea what they are, any thoughts ?

    All with K3ii + 52mm ext tubes + 105mm macro + ringflash and diffuser except flying hoverfly, (no flash)

    Lovely shots. I think the Beetle is a Black-headed Cardinal Beetle, Pyrochroa coccinea
    and the Ant, a Red ant, Myrmica rubra

    Very nice set Derek. Terrific ant shot. Tasty fly in flight. And #3 is I think a (male) Dung fly, one of my favourites - I love the composition/pose.

    Normally would say underexposed ... but the tones and the styling works brilliantly and some wall hangers in there #1/4
