These photo's were taken at Goroka, we had a camp beside the runway at the airport.

This fellow came and posed for us hoping to earn a few cents for the photos.

We surveyed all over the island, hopefully might find more of these slides at my former house

Hi Mark, strange how these things occur, I was born in Tanzania but lived with my family in Port Morseby from 1967 to 1970. No doubt my father would have some images from then in his loft somewhere.

Yes I was born in Tanga, Tanganyka as it was in the late 40's.

We surveyed some islands not far off Port Moresby, a humid place as far as I remember. Goroka in highlands was very pleasant....
