New years resolution time - Post them here

LOL

My list is pretty simple too,

Find a job where im not taken for granted and paid what i am worth !
Find someone who wants me for me not my earning potential !
Not to keep running myself down so much !

Great list there Ian. :D

Jewel

PS, I want to do a nude pose as well min,not sure why though, lol I have to lose the chunk first though, lol Already got someone willing to do the shoot, just got to get the nerve to do it. :D

Stop smoking....
Take more photos

I shall be bumping this thread periodically through the year to encourage you all to make the most of these resolutions you know :)

Right then - here goes....

Get at least one pic published by submission in our Speedway weekly mag.
Enter at least one photographic competition per month
Get out of my comfort zones more. I CAN do candid stuff, it just scares the hell out of me!
And finally a non-photography one...
Lose weight!

1. Improve my photography
2 Tone up my flabby body
3. Get a more enjoyable job
4. Go to uni
5. Drink more!!!
6. Drive less
7. Travel more
8. Take CBT test

I'm going to stop ****ing swearing. :)

hmmm...not sure there's room on here for them all, but the main one's are...

To learn to drive...(This has been one now for about the last 10 years!)

To learn to take fabulous photos

To try to be less emotional and more objective

Go to a small military run country and start a coup.

Ah, sorry, misread that....

I thought you said revolution!!!!!! :)

Your wife is trying to talk me into a nudist holiday

now that doesn't surprise me at all :p . No chance of me going, so it'll be you then.
...have fun

on1) Save money - this is going to be a really tough one! Someone slap me if I say I'm buying any more lens.

2) Learn Spanish

3) Go to Spain - this will contradict 1) above.

4) Compile 12/13 photos for my own calendar for 2008.

5) to work on my badminton back hand shot (it's really lame at the moment) and my fore hand lobbing from one end of the court to the other end. I can just about get one end of the court to about more 2/3rd of the way on the other half.

I'm sick of saying each year "loose some weight" cos it just doesn't happen, so:
1. Take better pics than those I did this year
2. See more of my Mum
3. Stop being a nag.....(hmmm, might be really difficult);)

A quick question about No.3.....is that actually possible for a woman to do?

No.2 is a cracker and one I think i'd like to have added to my wee list. :)

1. Upgrade to a 1000cc motorcycle.
2. Upgrade to a dslr.
3. Keep going strong in college.

Ooh I love new years resolutions.
:p
  • Lose weight
  • Do more photography
  • Earn money from music
  • Record bands album
  • Go to America :D
  • Buy Sigma 10-20mm

- Save enough money to go on a decent holiday!
- Reduce my student loan (not sure i'll bother yet!)
- Take some photos i can be proud of :)

I want to go to Disneyland this year, erm I mean take the kids on a fun filled vacation to the most magical place in the world. They deserve it!!!:D

Things are looking good too, so we shall see. :D

Jewel

I have been to the Euro one, it was sh.... erm rubbish ! ;)

Have heard the US ones are much better but i dont have any kids to take so i doubt ill find out ! lol

Not going to bother with losing weight it never happens so mine would be

To stay on my motorbike
Not break any more bones (it hurts)
Get out more with the camera
And lastly try and join a band again.

Not so much resolutions as goals:

1) Stop getting sick - stress fracture in 2006 has me off my feet for months and now the bloody ulcer - so assuming I live long enough then...

2) 2007 is the year of turning pro. Already got a couple more jobs lined up and some things on the boil and I know it's up to me to get out there and make it happen.

Sure I answered one of these, must have been someone elses thread

Basically to be more motivated - to get out more and do things, instead of erring on indecision and then not bothering, missed soo many opportunities from being a lazy git recently :(

1.Complete my home studio/music room
2.Use it!
3.and still make more time for my wife

for those struggling with the smoking, try this; smoke for 25 years, get sick, get scared, and realise that life is actually a better option.
Worked for me, no fags since july 2005 and never looked back.

To get back to the steep learning curve I began with my camera.
To look forward instead of back.
To learn to like myself.
