Went to Hay bluff to see if I could capture any meteors, I never, but for over 3 1/2 hours this storm was over North Herefordshire, Plenty of lightening but absolutely no sound.

Really liking both images here, but the second is an absolute corker.
Even here, I can sense the raw dynamic power.
Brilliant capture.

That's an aircraft.

No it's not.

On Monday evening there was well over an hour and a half of lightning along a large swathe of the West of England (I noticed it from Mid Wales up to North Cumbria). Absolutely srtunning light show with horizontal flashes and clouds lighting up just like the examples here. It was followed (at least up North by a short break and then more usual ground-sky strikes, thunder and some pleasant cooling rain ;)
Shorter spell of it on Tusday evening and over a smaller area (maybe Crewe and Southwards)

Yes it is, top left in the second shot.

Pair of crack(l)ers! We had the opposite yesterday afternoon, an hour or more of continuous (as in completely non stop, even for a second) thunder with no visible flashes. Plenty of rain though. Much more pleasant temperature today.
