Quite nice composition but I feel like they're both lacking in contrast and darker tones. The first one I think definitely needs some contrast increasing in it and I'm not sure that it is in colour is doing much for it. You might want to try a black and white conversion - I think it'll help settle down that big area of white sky. Nice looking old building though!

Well, you are right but it is not a high contrast building. It is built from weathered Ancaster limestone which is grey. In black and white it would still be grey.
