North Berwick Freedom

Amateur photographers and now free to travel in Scotland and I wasn't going to miss the opportunity. With a cry of freedom I headed to North Berwick for a shot of the Boating Pond looking to Bass Rock

Before, During and after with panic setting in as I am still very unfamiliar with the A7R IV

These have come out well and with the 60mp at 100% view these must have stacks of pixel peeping lovliness.

I prefer not to have the sun in the frame so my nod goes to 1 then 2

They would if I had remembered to come out of crop mode that I was shooting in the other night. The A7R IV has too many options and I have hardly touched it since moving over far preferring the A9 for walking around and shooting dogs. That is the second time I have made that mistake out of two landscape shoots. I hope I am not stupid enough to make it three in a row. I used to love getting the sun in frame but as the years roll on I am the same and much prefer the first shot too.

I was like a coiled spring when lockdown ended. No way was I not going out first day and I have managed another two sunrise in the week since. Great to be standing on a beach as the sun comes up. I've not missed pubs or going out but boy have I missed that
