The weather in NW Scotland often gets a bad press and is perhaps best described as, weather that lets you know you are alive.

Gales that would feature as major events in other places are common but not mentioned much and I've seen 24 hours of rain on many occasions.

However, sometimes the NW is blessed with exceptionally benign weather, as in the last couple of weeks.

Towards the end of last week it improved even more and on Friday, Saturday and Sunday it was hot and I was in T shirts and shorts.

It was a treat to watch the sun dip down below the hills

Ooooh..........I recognise that view. - makes me wish I was there. The sunsets up there are legendary in my opinion. It's so rare to get a good sunset here in the south west (of Sasainnland).
