Off camera flash and backlit snow.

Out for a walk with my son last night and took a flash with me. Debated wether I should tone down the colour of his hands - do they stand out too much?

Loving that shot. I think a dad less colour in the hands only would make it better, they slightly distract it for me.

- Thanks, yeah could probably do with a little desaturation and luminance reduction. He should have had gloves on but hates them lol

It's very well done, great location, nicely lit. I've tried photographing falling snow in the past and I wonder if a big umbrella to keep the closest flakes away from the lens would work

I find a using a hood is sufficient. If needed I sometimes cover my lens with a wooly hat in between shots or just put the lens cap back on.
