posted this photo on the official id thread but nobody has been on it since last year.I had a couple of these in my garden today, i think they are some type of wasp.Taken with Canon 5ds with 100mm macro and ring flash.

Not a wasp but a cucko or nomad bee. These are cleptoparasites of solitary bees often mining bees.

Sorry for not replying in under 6 hours.

thanks for the info, just starting to get into macro photography and have not got a clue on the names of insects.
