OK I know it's old hat, but I've never done smoke trails before!

Quite pleased with this first attempt, obviously images have been manipulated with a duplicated & flipped image pasted next to the original.

I'm. Sucker for doing smoke, as you never know what your going to get. The last one is my pick, it looks like some sort of demon. The beauty of smoke pics is, everyone I show find something different.

So did another session today, but used a multi-coloured gel across the studio head and got;

I love smoke art and spent loads of time doing it in my early days of photography. Like you say you never really know what you're going to get as all trails are different.

You should try taking it to the next level of manipulation and try what i did which was make obvious things out of the smoke trails using blending techniques. Just one example below of my previous work
