I had a trip with wifey to Manchester last week, so naturally as the long-term loving couple we are, we split up immediately we arrived !!!
Off she went shopping and I went for a walk with my camera. At such times I always like to challenge myself a bit, so this time I chose to use ONLY my 35mm f1.8 prime and also ONLY wide open at f1.8 - I'll blog more about that trip in a few days with a full set of images, but for now...
So after a couple of hours snapping away I became thirsty and in deed of some water, coffee, juice etc. AMAZINGLY I couldn't find a single shop or cafe that was open and hence has no option but to venture into a pub !!!
My FAV pub was the nearest (its less than £2 a pint usually), and as I sat at a table I noticed this old chap nearby and couldn't help but take a snap of him
For the techie stuff - 1000 ISO f1.8 (obviously) and 1/80th sec. No fear of camera shake as it was sat on my table and I let the camera focus itself using its facial recognition function in liveview; it did pretty well didn't it
