Spent last week in the Lake District for a bit of R&R

Convinced the wife that getting up at 4am and walking up Cat Bells with head torches on would be a good idea :)

Not been up a fell before - was quite surprised at the amount of scrambles we had to make up rocks. I had assumed that it would be a path all the way up (as it is classed as an "easy" fell).

We climbed up through thick fog for quite a long time - eventually we managed to break out of the top of it. The views made the walk up worthwhile :D

"Cracking" shot Sir, love everything about it.(y)

George.

Great stuff. I've walked up Catbells many times and never had a view like that. But then I've never done it at 4am with a head torch. Maybe I've just learned something...

Catbells is easy - relative to all the other fells in the Lakes!

Anyway, well done and you got a cracking shot of an inversion.

Cracking image and well worth the early start and climb (y)
