One Eyed Sparrow

I didn't realise it until I looked more closely but this little sparrow seems to have only one eye!

Looks like it may be swollen around the eye, on Flickr it looks like there is a small bright area in the middle of where the eye would be ... at least to me it does

They are prone to getting conjunctivitis... looks like that.
