Thanks Russ, I've put some hours in on these over the years but this season the weather's been exceptional , we've had a lot less rain and plenty of warm sunny evenings ........although you wouldn't think so looking out the window this evening!!

I have only ever photographed one Barn Owl this spring- and a shorty last year Phil :(
 
Nice light and very tricky to get right but a lovely shot Phil..I know why you have probably left plenty of space underneath but i reckon you could get away with cropping out a touch from the bottom ,just my take on it Phil..
