One light self portrait

A spur of the moment test to see if my new strobe survived shipping, but thought I'd throw it up anyway...

With a reflector on camera left and a tad behind the subject, you could bring a
little kicker that would separate and shape the head from the background.

Yeah I know. That's why I've got a second light arriving tomorrow

Normally I'd have just used a reflector like you say but I was photographer, model and assistant!

Phottix Indra 500. Portable with a small battery capable of running two heads. So far very impressed.

Light looks good to me Adam, looking forward to seeing the results with the second. Actually think the left eye (your right) might be overdone a touch, kinda jumps out from the shadow area!

I know what you mean with the falloff, but just looks a touch to bright imo, not by much but it was the first thing I noticed. It might well be that Adam just has perfect white eyes of course

It's a cracking portrait either way, just wish i could do portraits this good!
