Damn! that #3 is close! Great set Paul (y)

The Venus is lens is really good for it.
I must admit I now keep thinking about one ...
But having not long bought the Canon 100mm IS I guess I'll have to "behave" for a bit :D

edit, which particular one do you use Paul, just curious ( for now at least :D )

Currently on the LAOWA Venus 2:1 60mm Super Macro.

Retail price is around £380 Chris.

Cheers Paul, actually that's not outrageous!
Hmmmm DR has it @ £319.99

and not all Canons using live view show the subject on the screen when are trying to focus.
Thanks for the heads up Paul (y)
Yes Canon here, and TBH I rarely use live screen anyway.

The Canon version of the Laowa (Venus) 100mm 2;1 macro is chipped (it is the only one that is chipped), so you focus wide open. Still manual focus though. I'm using it on a Sony A7ii with a 2X TC and I'm getting enough of a focus peaking signal to get a relatively (<< relatively :)) high hit rate. Unfortunately the isn't the case with my 70D. Maybe with the OVF it would be better though - I almost never use a viewfinder.

Thanks for that Nick :)
I'm still debating as to whether or not, all this helps (y)
