As well as the snowdrops - I also had a bug hunt.

This is one of the two creatures, I found - an Oribatid Mite. It is about the size of a pinhead.

Images are all at the maximum magnification of the Canon MPE-65mm lens @5x magnification.

That must be a bugger to carry all that weight on their back, the water I mean. Great shots showing this tiny thing. Well found Chris.

Certainly seems to be a lot of water in comparison to it.

Ooh, those are very, very nice.

f/9 at 5:1, that's f/54. Lots of DOF. Over twice what you get at f/22.

5:1 on APS-C is scene width 4.5mm. If these are about 1mm in size, and given the 3:2 aspect ratio, would these be uncropped?

Thanks Nick - The last two are cropped, there's a small crop in the first I believe, I will check later. Can post one uncropped if necessary.
