The Osprey's in Scotland will all be migrating to Africa for the winter in the coming days, which might give our fish stocks a chance to recover! The adult birds and this years young will probably all be gone within a week or so, and some have started their mamoth journey already.
This one is an un-ringed 'daddy' bird, which was photographed yesterday with a his rather hefty lunch!
I've tried to avoid over-cropping this as it was a fairly distant capture. Must admit that the 1Dxii did very well in focusing on the bird and not the background. I took a series of about a dozen shots of this bird amongst the trees and every one was spot-on!
