your black to white work is quite exceptional...it cant all be due to your camera and lens?
do you set the camera on black to white with a preset??

"Everything is shot in RAW so obviously no presets/camera profiles whatsoever. I then covert to DNG and everything PP wise is then done manually, either leaving it in colour or converting to mono"

thanks George,...i have lightroom loaded but its an old one and doesnt cater for my lumix G5 raw...and having XP pro on my laptop it wont recognise the new lightroom nor does DNG...so i am stuck for a bit to do any raw...LR3 still works for my super jpegs but i am "unsure" if that treatment is good enough having used raw on the G1..different file endings!!
