As always, any thoughts and comments welcome.

Those are beautifully carved statues there Geoff and taken very well lovely amounts of detail in the stonework.

Three is my favourite of these, though I'd try and correct the skew for better verticals in 2 and 3 - with the blown sky and the mono, might make for a more dramatic shot? Still, like the detail and the monochrome conversion helps a lot.

Thanks Steve and Dan. They are both War Memorials from my town. The first is for the fallen of the township of Church, and 2 and 3 is the war memorial for Accrington. The sky that day was just solid grey wall of clouds but still quite bright, which I didn't mind as I'd planned to do mono conversions of them anyway. In 2 and 3 the obelisk behind the statue does taper upwards towards the top, it's even more exagerated as I was having to shoot upwards. Thanks for all your comments.

I like No1 although you missed a trick by not getting the window behind the statue equal each side, and lose the 'bullet holes' in the brickwork to the right.

No3 is cropped little too tight at the bottom so you have lost the fall of the gown at the bottom.

I do hope you don't mind my ten penneth, I am hyper critical of all my shots.
